The absence of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the debate which is slated for 19th January 2019 has raised a lot of dust.
One major incidence that Nigerians seem to be concerned about is that of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar’s presence and disappearance.
A lot of Nigerians seem to be disappointed at his decision not to participate in the debate due to the absence of the incumbent.
Although he apologized for his decision by saying it’s because he cannot shave a mans head in his absence Nigerians seem not to buy his reasons.
See the presidential candidates tweet after he left the venue:
“As a leader and former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, let me first apologize to Nigerians, my fellow candidates and the moderator for the APC Presidential candidate’s absence in this debate. His non-appearance is a slight on all of us and our democracy.”
On his challenge to Buhari he says thus on the below tweet:
“I however challenge president Buhari to choose a date and time for a debate where he will be present and I will be there, hopefully with the other candidates as well.”
